Tizian (2021–2022)
During the restoration of Titian’s Assunta in the Frari Church in Venice, I documented the process from within the scaffolding. Rather than depicting the entire masterpiece, my photographs focus on intimate details—layers, colors, and materials—revealing the complexity of the work. These images form the basis of my abstract montages. By decontextualizing, fragmenting, and recomposing the photographs, I create abstract interpretations that offer a fresh perspective on both the restoration process and the artwork itself.
