Friederike von Rauch has found a subtle and differentiated language reflecting her highly concentrated working method. Her photographic minimalism—marked by extreme reduction and absence of narrative—creates an impression of dreamlike emptiness and timelessness. With context almost entirely withheld, the viewer is left to rely on minimal clues. Each image stands on its own, yet together they reveal spaces in our reality we might otherwise overlook. Her photographs shape our perception as we begin to see through her visual language.”
