LICHT (2024)

Licht explores changing daylight through the repeated observation of a single window in von Rauch's Berlin studio.

Over the course of one year, von Rauch repeatedly photographed the same window covered with translucent paper as its appearance changed with variations in daylight, weather, and season.

The resulting works translate ephemeral light into monochromatic square fields. Presented as a sequence, they reveal subtle temporal and atmospheric transformations within a single place.
