Monastic (2014–2019)
The Monastic series unites photographs taken in iconic European monasteries, where I lived and worked between 2014 and 2019. With a precise focus on architectural detail, my images capture the contemplative atmosphere of these interiors while subtly detaching them from their religious function. The series includes works made at Le Corbusier’s Sainte Marie de La Tourette near Lyon, Hans van der Laan’s Roosenberg Abbey near Antwerp, and Andrea Palladio’s Monastery of San Giorgio Maggiore in Venice.
