Waste (2021-22)
Waste was developed during a stay at a waste incineration plant. The project emerged from an extended engagement with a site defined by processes of transformation, elimination, and material excess.
The photographic work focuses on the plant’s industrial architecture and its operational systems, where combustion, sorting, and circulation structures produce a continuous movement of matter. Rather than documenting industrial processes in a descriptive way, the series concentrates on their spatial and atmospheric conditions.
Within the dense environment of machinery, smoke, and scale, the images isolate moments in which light, structure, and surface briefly stabilize. These fragments allow the site to appear less as a functional infrastructure and more as a spatial field shaped by disappearance and transformation.
