MONASTIC (2010–2019)

Monastic brings together photographs made between 2010 and 2019 in selected European monasteries and postwar modernist churches in Berlin.

The work explores architecture as a space of perception. Through light, material, proportion, and spatial structure, it reveals how architecture shapes atmosphere and perception.

The series comprises photographs made at Sainte-Marie de La Tourette near Lyon, Roosenberg Abbey near Antwerp, and the Monastery of San Giorgio Maggiore in Venice, together with Transept, a body of work dedicated to postwar modernist churches in Berlin.
