Licht (2024)
Licht marks a shift from von Rauch’s earlier focus on architectural photography to a studio-based investigation of perception.
In her Berlin studio, a large window covered with translucent paper became the central subject of the work. Over time, its appearance changed continuously through variations in light, weather, and season.
Over the course of one year, von Rauch photographed these shifting conditions whenever specific light situations occurred. From this archive, 36 images were selected.
The works translate ephemeral light phenomena into monochromatic square fields, arranged in sequences that reveal temporal and spatial transformation within a single site.
