Iceland (2008), Ash (2010), Harpa (2010)
The series Iceland, Ash, and Harpa were created during my artist residencies in Iceland. Iceland explores the country’s radical sense of emptiness, while Ash focuses on the ash-covered southern landscape following the eruption of Eyjafjallajökull. Harpa was photographed in the unfinished Harpa Concert Hall in Reykjavík, concentrating on raw concrete structures, light, and traces of the construction process that shift the space toward abstraction.

DJ and producer Marcel Dettmann composed a 34-minute minimalist sound piece in response to these works
